Description

Six pieces dated from 200 AD through 2014 depict the crucifixion of Christ.  Each one shows cultural and historical significance of societal attitudes toward Christ. 

The six pieces include the themes of:

  • Foolishness of the cross
  • Shame of sin
  • Hypostatic union
  • Humanity of Jesus
  • Absolution
  • Maintaining faith and trust through suffering

The seventh session offers a concluding project that can be complex or simple.
